Greetings Permaculturepodcast.org listeners. I am very happy to share with you some more new content. Well technically dated conted newly posted. Several months ago I had a nice long conversation with Marco Barantes of La Loma Development in Pasadena California. Marco is an artistic pasionate permaculturalist. La Loma is a design build contracting company that implements eco/permacultural design projects all around southern California. It was a fun and meandering talk about business, finding permaculture, being and entreprenuer and life events that inspire departure from standard life trajectories. I thank Marco imensly for taking time to share with me his journey!
As I said the content was actually recorded many months ago. It was a strugle to coordinate getting this material to a place where myself and Marco felt comfortable with posting it. Sometimes... no most of the time permaculture podcast as a hoby is thrust into the backseat as other priorities demand my attention. As I state this fact of life I beg patience from the listening community in waiting for new material to be posted. I do have several hours worth of content in my back log more or less ready to post. I would estimate at least another 10 episodes are ready to post. The struggle becomes finding time to edit and locations with high enough bandwidth to upload the content. I am on the road for work 5-6 days a week and unfortunatly most hotels don't have the bandwidth available to upload even a short half hour episode. Explanations aside, I am as enthusiastic as ever about delivering free content to listeners and promoting permacultural endeavours! Please stay tuned for two more follow up episodes which conclude my conversation with Marco. Several episodes with a series of engaging conversations I had with Zanzibar regarding the occupy movement and philosphical questions related to movements and permaculture. A series of episodes chronicalling a fun talk I had with Ben Lawson on the topic of techno-optimism and the singulartiy and how that should be infused with a permacultural set of ethics, a sense of the sacred and a shamanic twist. I also have an episode introducing a youth program called impossible to possible, where you will hear about the amazing physical feats of international youth ambasadors who are marathoning with a meaning! Beyond that I have a few interviews that are in the works of being scheduled that I am really excited to conduct! As you can see there is plenty of good material comming down the pipes! Stay tuned!
Thanks for listening,
Ryan Unmack
